You also need to take into consideration that not everyone focuses on purely leveling.

I've been around forever, and sure- I'm not super active but I'm also not nearly represented by my level. The contest reward is for winning the competition- which is entirely focused on whomever brings the most players into the game.

It is not a reward for being the most dedicated, or strongest player- it is for the plaer that does the most towards promoting the game.

Who cares if the person who wins doesnt have the best "plant", at least they did something for the game- and thats the focus of the giveaway. There should be no restrictions on something that does not involve direct game play.

That is not the longest post Ive seen come out of his computer, trust me.

A few have been so long, That I had to read half and come back 10 minutes later just to read the other half.

I think us being active is promoting the game very much so - just as much as recruiting players. It's great what you're doing DK, don't get me wrong. But a lot of have people have been with the game for awhile and HAVE been active EVERYday. So, our point isn't so much directed at you, but at any lvl 1 who can recruit 500 people and get the colony.

Other colony giveaways have been way easier than this. I don't know what it is about this one that's getting everybody riled up.

What do you guys think a fair price would be to buy a colony? I'm thinking there may be at least a small number of DDs required..

DDs = 35k each.

If you sold them for a month of DDs (31 days) then it would be the equivalent of 1,085,000. Or selling them for 1,085,000 would be pretty much the same value.

Buy one with in-game money?

Hard to judge, as inflation will affect the value of money.. And by using fertz for digging one could rack up a million in no time.

That's why I was talking about level restrictions for leading gangs. And then comes the fact of some people not wanting to level by fighting. I suggested to Jon begging exp for those whining people.

That's not true. One can buy DDs off the market, you don't necessarily have to pay the $2.

yeah but if jon wanted them to be harder to get, he could make them only able to be bought or something...
