Plant Wars reserves the right to alter these terms and conditions (T&C) at any time, with no obligation to alert the users.
There is no guarantee that Plant Wars will be available at any point in time. We will try to keep things running as smoothly as possible, but we make no promises. Any damage (e.g. boredom) done because you can't get on Plant Wars is not our fault.
Much of the content on Plant Wars is generated by the users. We make no guarantees to its accuracy or lack of offensiveness. Content (user names, message board posts, comments, etc) submitted by a user that the Plant Wars administration deems too offensive will be deleted, and the user account may be subjected to punishment up to and including deletion.
You are required to be 13 to sign up for Plant Wars. If you are younger than 13, don't register. If we find out, we'll delete your account. It is suggested that you are 18, as people can say some pretty nasty things.
Anyone who attempts to hack or misuse Plant Wars' resources in anyway will have their account deleted and be subject to criminal prosecution.
You are only allowed one account per person. If you will be sharing an IP address with someone, do not attack, transfer, or otherwise do anything that could benefit one of the accounts.
You are not allowed to automate the playing of the game in any fashion. This is not fair to others, and what fun is a game played by a bunch of robots anyway?
We're liable for nothing. If someone says something to you on here that hurts your feelings, go get a friend that's wittier than you to come up with an appropriately biting reply. It's not our fault if you're sensitive. We accept no liability for any damages resulting from the use of this site.
We won't distribute your personal information, except that anything you add to your profile is viewable by other registered Plant Wars users.
We do log your activity on the site. All Plant Wars staff members have access to the logs of your activities in order to check for cheating. We also use third party analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics) to track behavior on the site.
We may occasionally have a partnership with a third party individual or group to perform a user study on Plant Wars with the goal of coming up with design improvements for the game. You may opt out of having the logs of your behavior shared with this third party, but tracking by Plant Wars staff and third party analytics tools cannot be opted out of. To opt out of having logs of your behavior shared with third party individuals (as opposed to software), adjust your settings accordingly.
Based on the administrators' whim/mood, breaking any explicit or implicit rules can be punished by being banned from the website, "jail time" during which the account is essentially unusable, and having the account deleted. You have no rights.
