I thought when ever you train 10 of any stat you get an extra girth or is that for just girth training?

Because you are a level 20-39 tree, you should gain 1 additional girth for every girth stat point you train. A full bar of fertilizer would net you 20 girth.

I'm pretty sure you only get the bonus when you train that particular stat (ie girth)

Meh, I didn't notice anything.

But I usually don't pay attention to all the numbers anyway.

You need to level up before you can talk here.
Go find someone to fight by clicking "Others" at the top!
