No. The whale speared its eye on the crow's nest (all boats have crow's nests) and they cooked it and ate it.

Dolphins are from the Order Cetacea, which contains all whales. Dolphins are in the Subgroup Odontocetae, means "toothed whales". It contains toothed whales. Like dolphins, orcas, porpoises, etc. The other group is...uh, I don't know the Latin, but it's baleen whales, with baleen. Like humpback whales, blue whales, sperm whales, grey whales, right whales, mink whales, etc.

I love whales if you cook them right- and yes while they were endangered they are making enough of a comeback that harvesting isn't a huge problem anymore- except for the fact it draws out enviromentalist whale "protectors" that are pretty much useless wastes of human skin taking up air the rest of us more productive people could be using.....Men used to hunt blue whales in cooperation with a pod of Orca in Austrailia. I am STRONGLY in favor of any interspecies bonding through hunting common prey.

They may be making a comeback, but they have not come back.
