Umm, how many kinds of matter there are? Matter, anti-matter, exotic matter, dark matter, strange matter, anything else?

Exotic matter, dark matter and strange matter are theoretical.

Well, actually, I am not really sure what strange matter is, so it can very likely be proven to be true :P

Well in theory the impossion bomb would also explode later and create matter too, right? Can you imagine if we ever do it and create a hole new planet?

So are there any other types of matter that may or may not exist?

Hmm... matter that may or may not exist -> Schrödinger matter Now I need theoretical proof that this type of matter may or may not exist and Nobel Prize is mine! Bwahahaha!

All this matter is predicted by the math that grounds all of phsyics, its not just guessed :P

Can we be back to the destroction of the world theme? It's kindda easier to inderstand and everybody can wonder how it's not gonna happen...

One word: zombiepocalypse.

The prediction was something that would change the world, not necessarily destroy it. The pulse doesn't have to blow up the planet, just re-animate all of our dead.

Gamma Ray pulses are from the stars.

a gamma ray pulse that hit us from 1000 light years would destroy the ozone kill everyone and everything down to the bacteria on the facing side - keep in mind we are rotating- so this could end up being the entire planet- and even if we passed out of the beam entirely before it killed ALL of us the rest would have a very rough and short life as the weather went south and the sun went nuts- yes- exposing the stellar core to that much gamma radiation would do BAD things like accelerate the alpha for hydrogen fusion in the core. anyone want to see the sun heat up 15%?
